13U Girls First team - thunder lightning

Brian is in his third year with Peterborough Thunder, serving as a Head Coach and now also as our Club Director. With over three decades of experience including Club, Regional/Provincial, Junior National and Queen’s University Varsity programs, he has contributed to Canada's volleyball community as an athlete, coach, and mentor. He is deeply dedicated to fostering the growth of the game and supporting Peterborough's next generation of volleyball players. Rounding out our coaching staff will be Stephanie, a first time coach and current Trent student, who grew up in Toronto playing for the Toronto Phoenix and then Titans Volleyball Clubs.

13U Girls Second team - Name TBD

Jayda is a first-time coach with Peterborough Thunder. Prior to joining our coaching staff Jayda played for the Fleming College Phoenix Varsity team, and prior to that spent 5 years as part of the Peterborough Thunder family as an athlete. We're excited to welcome Jayda back to the Thunder family and look forward to having her play a role in helping developing future volleyball players in Peterborough. Her Assistist Cherie has many years of volleyball experience as a player, including as a varsity athlete at Loyalist College.

14U Girls first team - thunder hurricanes

Kim is now in her 3rd year coaching with Peterborough Thunder. Kim has a life-long love for sport that started at an early age. Kim's long history and relationship with volleyball includes numerous accolades, including 3 years at Salem University in West Virginia, where she was a dual-sport NCAA scholarship athlete  in Volleyball and Basketball.

We are thrilled to welcome Justin back to the Peterborough Thunder coaching team. Justin has several years of experience coaching club volleyball, both here in Peterborough and in other parts of the GTA.

15U girls first team - Thunder fury

Jackie is in her fourth year of coaching with Peterborough Thunder, and is building the program around the philosophy “Earned. Not Given.” She emphasizes accountability and discipline, preparing athletes to turn pressure into privilege rather than fear it. Jackie will be supported by James and Steve, who have both been involved with Thunder for several years. James is a passionate volleyball coach and former player who has helped lead teams to multiple provincial medals. He also has over 25 years of youth coaching experience as PGA of Canada Professional, where he also remains committed to developing athletes and fostering a positive, competitive team culture.

15U girls second team - thunder surge

Nicole has played and coached many sports over the years. She is excited to be coaching her second season of Club volleyball with Peterborough Thunder and is looking forward to building on  her successful 14U season last year. Nicole will be supported by her son Jason, who is also a player on one of our Senior boys' teams. Jason has played Club with Thunder for the past 4 seasons and had the opportunity to be part of the Team Ontario program. Jason also spends his summers coaching with Soul Beach Volleyball.

Carrie, Patty and Jeanette return as a trio of experienced, high energy coaches that will together coach our 16U first team this year. All three have deep histories in volleyball and with Peterborough Thunder, and we look forward to seeing how their vision and leadership drives this high-performing team to new successes in the 2026 season. We are also blessed to have Carrie contributing more broadly to the success of the club as part of our Executive team.

17U girls first team - thunder nova

Eric has coached both men's and women's club volleyball for Niagara Rapids and Peterborough Thunder for many years. He has also played volleyball since he was 13, winning 3 OFSAA titles, playing competitive co-ed and men's leagues, and is looking forward to another season supporting the development of our tremendous athletes.

Jessica has coached both men's and women's club volleyball for Peterborough Thunder & DRVC. She has also coached on the varsity level in the Trent University Men's volleyball program. Jessica also brings over 15 years of competitive volleyball experience to her coaching, including having played for the Trent Women's volleyball team from 2014-2018.

Anhi and Nathan are the newest members of the Peterborough Thunder coaching team, but they both come with deep histories and love for the game of volleyball. This includes coaching senior teams at other area clubs, and also being part of the Soul Beach coaching team in the past.

18U girls first team - Thunder strike

Steve has been a part of the Peterborough Volleyball community for many decades. As the head coach of Crestwood of many years, he is responsible for bringing many OFSAA appearances, including OFSAA Championship teams, to the Peterborough area. Currently Steve is the head coach of our 18U First team and is also an Assistant Coach of the Trent University Men's Varsity team.
